## Free setup. Full agency standard.

A clinic should feel calm. A trades business should make it easy to call. A professional firm should inspire confidence. Nine designs, each built around the way its customers choose.

- ### Physiotherapy A clinic site should feel like the clinic: calm, clean, and clear about how to get in.
- ### Landscaping For project trades, the photos sell. The design gets out of their way.
- ### Bookkeeping Professional firms need quiet confidence, plain fees and an easy first step.
- ### Heating and cooling When the heat is out, people decide in a minute. The number and the next opening come first.
- ### Roofing A roof is a big decision. Clear estimates and finished-roof photos carry it.
- ### Dental Nervous patients choose the practice that feels calm before they walk in.
- ### Family law Legal clients want to feel heard. The site should be quiet, serious and easy to reach.
- ### Med spa Aesthetics clients buy trust and taste. The design has to show both.
- ### Auto repair Drivers want to know what it costs and when it will be ready. Say both, plainly.

Yours starts with your business, your services and your customers.

## Why give away *the website?*

Because a small business should not need a big budget to look the part.

You deserve a website you are proud to share, and someone to look after it. A large upfront bill should not stand between your business and that first impression.

So we put in the design and build. Your monthly plan takes care of the basics: hosting, SSL, ongoing care and support when your website needs attention.

We are also making a business decision. By our internal estimate, around **% of our free-website customers** later choose us for marketing, AI assistants or business systems. We would rather earn that work by doing a good job first.

You get a professional website. We get a chance to earn your trust. If the website is all you ever need, that is absolutely fine.

[The team behind your website](https://www.thequietprotocol.com/about)

## We build it. *Then we stay.*

A website should be an asset you use, not another piece of software you have to look after.

### The design and build are on us

A complete website, built around your business.

- pages, thoughtfully designed for your services
- Clear copy shaped from the answers in your brief
- Mobile-friendly layouts, suitable images and a contact form
- Essential on-page search setup, so the foundations are in place
- A complete preview, your revision and approval before launch

### Your monthly plan keeps it cared for

The practical things, with a team behind them.

- **Fast hosting.** Managed for you, with pages built to load quickly.
- **SSL included.** A secure connection for your visitors.
- **Ongoing website care.** We look after the site after launch.
- **Support with changes.** A team to contact when your hours, photos or business details need updating.
- **A clear agreement.** Routine care is covered. Bigger requests are quoted before work begins.

[A question before you start? Talk to us.](https://www.thequietprotocol.com/book/intro?intent=essential-website)

## Same business. Same phone number. A different first impression.

Drag the handle. On the left, the kind of site many owners are still running: built years ago, never touched since. On the right, the same business, redesigned.

Drag to compare the old website with the redesign

1. ### The phone number moved to the top One tap to call, on every page, on every phone.
2. ### One line says what they do and where “Welcome to our website” told nobody anything.
3. ### A real photo of the work It does more for trust than any paragraph about quality.
4. ### The 2019 holiday hours are gone Out-of-date details make people wonder if you are still open.
5. ### Services get their own pages So the person with a leaking water heater finds that page, not a list.

## Old, or just tired? Your phone will tell you in ten seconds.

Most customers meet your website on a phone, often standing in a kitchen with a problem to solve. Open your site on your phone now and tick what you can find without pinching or hunting.

**People judge the look first.** In a Stanford study of 2,684 people comparing websites, the site's design look was the most mentioned reason for trusting it or not, in 46.1% of comments. [Fogg et al., 2003](https://dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/997078.997097)

**The next step should work on a phone.** Open a service page, tap the number and try the contact form. The redesign needs to carry those customer routes through the move. [Use the website handover checklist](https://www.thequietprotocol.com/blog/website-agency-handover).

- Your business name and what you do, in the first screen
- A phone number you can tap to call
- The towns or areas you serve
- Your hours, or when someone answers
- Real photos of your work, your team or your place
- Each main service explained, with what happens next
- A short form for people who would rather not call
- Proof you are real and current: reviews, licenses you hold, this year's details
- Text you can read without zooming, buttons big enough for a thumb
- It loads before you lose patience

of 10

- **8 to 10**: Your site is doing its job. Keep it current.
- **5 to 7**: It is starting to cost you. Fresh words and photos may carry it a while.
- **Under 5**: It is time for a redesign. Patching an old site rarely fixes the first impression.

Every Essential Website is designed mobile-first to pass all ten: you bring the facts and the photos, we give each one its place. Want a deeper look before you decide to repair or replace? Use the [small-business website replacement checklist](https://www.thequietprotocol.com/resources/articles/small-business-website-replacement-checklist).

## What goes on your ten pages

Old sites usually have too many pages nobody reads, or one page trying to say everything. Up to 10 pages is plenty for most service businesses, and many need six or seven. This is how we lay out the new one.

### Home

What you do, where, and how to reach you, all in the first screen. It is the page that has to pass the phone test.

- ### Services one page per main service What the job includes, who it is for, and what happens after they call. A page per service helps people, and search engines, match the right job to you.
- ### About one page Who runs the business, how long you have done this, and the licenses or memberships you actually hold.
- ### Areas you serve one page The towns and neighborhoods you cover, and the ones you do not, so nobody calls from too far away.
- ### Our work one page Photos of real jobs with a line on each. This is the page people scroll before they call.
- ### Common questions one page The questions you answer on the phone every week, answered once, properly.
- ### Contact one page Phone, form, hours, and your address or service area. Nothing to hunt for.

### Before you start

Write down the five questions customers ask you most, in the words they use. They become your common questions page, and they are usually the most useful writing on a small business site.

Then look at your old site and note anything worth keeping: a photo, a description a customer liked, a page people ask about. We carry it into the new design.

## From your brief to your new website

1. Today ### Start at checkout Confirm it fits your business, pay the first month securely, and the brief opens straight away. Free setup.
2. Day 0 ### One guided brief Your services, area, hours, photos, logo, your current site's address and what to keep. The clock starts when the brief is complete.
3. Within 2 business days ### Your first preview Your complete website, ready to explore on your own phone.
4. Your changes ### One consolidated revision Collect everything you want changed into one list. We make the changes.
5. Launch ### Approve and go live You approve, we publish. Hosting, SSL and a contact form are part of the subscription.
6. After launch ### Kept current Hosting, SSL, ongoing care and a team to ask when your website needs a change. We stay involved after launch.

Your preview, on your phone

## Approve more than *a good look.*

Beautiful is the start. Before you approve the site, walk through it as someone who needs your service today.

Keep what already brings you customers. Share those pages in your brief so the new design builds on the useful parts of your old site.

[Take the handover and approval checklist](https://www.thequietprotocol.com/blog/website-agency-handover#preview-approval)

1. 01 ### Can I tell you are right for the job? Your services, area, real photos and supplied credentials are accurate. The important pages from the old site are accounted for.
2. 02 ### Can I reach the right person? The number opens a call. An agreed test submission reaches your receiving inbox. The visitor knows what happens next.
3. 03 ### Does it work in my hand? Read the text, open the menu and use the form on your own phone. No pinching, guessing or hunting for the contact link.
4. 04 ### Do I know what happens after launch? You know how to ask for support and changes, who controls the domain and what the subscription covers.

## Your quote, in writing

A clear offer before you start. Your service agreement sets out the care allowance and the full terms.

If your brief shows you need booking, intake or an online store, we tell you and offer a separate review. Your subscription never quietly turns into a bigger project.

## Common questions

Redesigns, scope, timing, cancellation and refunds, answered here and repeated at checkout.

**Can you redesign the website I already have?**

Yes. We build first websites and replace existing ones. Tell us in the brief what still works, such as your service list, contact details or photos you want to keep, and we design the new site around it.

**Will a redesign hurt how I show up on Google?**

A redesign can affect search visibility. Bring the existing page addresses, important service content and any search data you have to the brief. We confirm what fits the new site and flag migration work that needs separate scope. Preserve useful pages, agree redirects for changed addresses and check the contact paths before launch. Nobody can guarantee unchanged rankings.

**Why are the design and build free?**

We think every small business deserves a professional website, even when a large project fee is out of reach. We invest in the design and build to start a lasting relationship. Your monthly plan pays for hosting and care. Some customers later choose our marketing, AI or systems work, which makes the model work for us too. You never have to buy those services.

**When does the 2-business-day preview window begin?**

It begins after the complete onboarding brief and required assets are submitted. A partial survey does not start the preview window.

**Do I have to write the words myself?**

No. You answer the guided brief in your own words, and we shape your supplied information into clear, polished website copy.

**What am I paying for each month?**

Fast managed hosting, SSL, ongoing website care and a team you can contact for support and changes. Your design and initial build are free. The service agreement sets out the routine update allowance; extra pages, larger redesigns and custom work are quoted separately before anything starts.

**Can I cancel anytime?**

Yes. There is no fixed-term contract for this subscription. Cancellation ends future billing and the hosted service according to the published subscription terms.

**How does the seven-day refund work?**

You may request a 100% refund within seven calendar days of purchase. The request does not require a sales call. The complete policy and any effect on active work appear in the checkout terms.

**Does this include booking, CRM, ecommerce, or automation?**

No. The Essential Website is for service businesses and informational websites. It does not include an online store, product catalog, shopping cart, ecommerce checkout, digital downloads, booking, CRM, or automation.

**Can I hire TQP instead of a freelancer?**

Yes. You are hiring The Quiet Protocol, an agency based in Toronto serving the United States and Canada. We design, write and build the site from your brief, then stay responsible for hosting and care. You have a team to come back to after launch.
